Christmas in January – Colorado Family Portraits

This January  we celebrated the holidays with family in Colorado.  Each year, there is a new addition to the family.  I had the opportunity to photograph my nephew, Rockwell when he was a baby and now he has grown up so much!  And my nieces have also grown up and are now the age to play hide and seek and dress up  which are some of my favorite activities

It was so hard to choose my favorites from our time in Colorado.   There were so many great expressions that I just had to photograph while I was in Colorado with my family.

So many memories were created! I absolutely love my Family!

Hope you enjoy!

SACAGAWEA costumes that my mother had put together for Olive and Sophie were the highlight of the day!

These photographs are of Olive in her new Indian costume that my mother put together for my nieces to help tell them the story of Sacagawea Sacajawea, who was an interpreter and guide during the Lewis and Clark expedition from North Dakota to the Pacific Ocean. This was not only EDUCATIONAL, but also FUN!!

My niece Sophie playing us some music and singing a song about her experience as Sacagawea

My nephew Rockwell is amused by a science instrument that my brother had given him for Christmas.

The many expressions of my nephew Rockwell

We also enjoyed some some visitors from relatives that I hadn’t seen in years and their little ones!

New Beginnings for Jenifer + John + 1 Maternity Photography Thousand Oaks

Our fun began with shopping at the local Oaks Mall picking out her outfit for the session. I had never been shopping in a specialty maternity store, so it was definitely educational.

Jenifer has become a part of my celebrations in my life, bridal showers and bachelorette parties.  I was married to my best friend on May 17, 2014. One day, I hope to add a plus one to our family. So, this shoot was especially fun, getting to photograph their special memories. These two are so cute, the kind of people that you want to be your best friends.

It was a beautiful day in Conejo Valley to shoot the maternity photography for Jenifer and John and the light was just beautiful, both were beaming parents to be!

Update: Jenifer and John had their first little girl on 10/20/2014 and it was just last Sunday that we were shooting them laughing and enjoying themselves in our beautiful Conejo Valley.

Portrait Photography with my nieces in Colorado

I love Christmastime with my nieces! Portrait Photography Colorado

I love being with my family and capturing every moment.  I have the most adorable nieces that actually love the camera!

These are some of my favorites that I wanted to share from Christmas with the Goodmans in 2013. TWe enjoyed a beautiful white Christmas far from the sunny california weather that we are accustomed to. These are some of my favorites from Christmas day. I absolutely love spending time with my family and it was especially special with Joey meeting my parents.

The girls both had on cute christmas pajamas and were so excited to have Christmas at my parents.

Suzanne + Ryan Perry House wedding in Carmel Wedding Photographer, Wedding Photographer Central Coast and Carmel Valley

Suzanne + Ryan Perry House Carmel Wedding Photographer

I have been delayed on getting this post out about one of my favorite weddings from the past year. Driving up to Carmel is a gorgeous drive. I totally recommend it! Just take the 101 N.  towards San Francisco. It is one of my husband’s favorite places to visit, so much so that he surprised me with a proposal off the coast of big sur.. see the post about our love story here .
It was a delight to be a part of the celebration of Suzanne and Ryan’s gorgeous wedding in Carmel California. This couple loves the outdoors and picked a beautiful location at the Carmel Basilica Mission. I absolutely love shooting photography outdoors! Monterey is a beautiful location for a wedding.

The mission is like taking a trip to Europe, just about 4 1/2  hours from my studio. I absolutely LOVED this wedding! The venue was absolutely gorgeous The Perry House in Monterey one of my favorite venues in Monterey, if you are getting married on the California Central Coast check out this Victorian vintage venue. They had stonefire pizzas, smiling servers and a sweet array of cocktails to sip on.
Ryan and Suzanne chose a really fun DJ playing hits from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Their first dance was Chicago “You’re the inspiration

I am a big fan of “Chicago”, one of my faves.
